Stakes are optional. You can play every game without putting any inventory items into a pot.

Before the first move, a seated player can use the table while holding emeralds to stake them. If High Rollers is installed, its chips can be used too. Agree on the amounts with the other players; the table does not enforce equal stakes.

This moves the held stack into your stake, up to one item’s stack limit. Put only the amount you want to stake in your hand before using the table.

The screen’s Item stakes panel shows the contributors, item types and quantities. Long item or player names keep their full text in the hover label.

You can reclaim your stake before the game starts. Once play has begun, the pot follows the game’s result. A draw returns stakes to their contributors; the winning seats receive the pot.

Removing a board refunds its item stakes before the unfinished game is saved. Destroying a linked chair releases that chair’s seat and refunds that seat’s stake.

Poker and Blackjack track game-chip scores inside their rules. Those values are separate from emeralds or chip items placed in the inventory pot. Buying into a Poker hand does not spend emeralds from your inventory.

High Rollers is optional. The table accepts its chip items when it is present; the rest of Block & Board works on its own.

Matching item types and components are pooled before being split evenly between winning seats. Leftover items go to the earliest winning seats in seat-number order. Different item types are split separately; chip denominations are not converted into a single currency value.

In a two-player game, forfeiting awards the opponent the win. The general three- and four-player forfeit result is a draw, returning stakes; games can define a different outcome, such as a partnership game. Check the result before starting another match.
