Start here
Section titled “Start here”
Black moves first. Put a disc beside the middle four.
Flip a line
Section titled “Flip a line”
Trap a line between your discs. The trapped discs flip.

The trapped line is now your colour.
Keep the corners
Section titled “Keep the corners”
Corners cannot be flipped. They are strong places to play.
Keep playing
Section titled “Keep playing”
If you have no legal place, pass. Your opponent plays.
Count the board
Section titled “Count the board”
When both players pass, the colour with more discs wins.
Rules in more detail
Section titled “Rules in more detail”Passing and the final count
Section titled “Passing and the final count”You must place when a legal placement exists; passing is available only when you cannot flank an opposing line. If neither player can place, the game ends even with empty squares remaining. Only the discs on the board count towards the result. Empty squares are not automatically awarded to either player, and equal disc counts produce a draw.
Keep playing
Section titled “Keep playing”Use Rematch after the result to play again. To pause an unfinished match, the table owner can remove and keep its board.
