Tables & chairs

Choose the right table size and make room for its seats.

The furniture stays in your build between games. Changing the fitted board changes the game; you do not choose a different game from the screen.

The small table occupies one block. It holds compact boards such as Chess, Checkers, Reversi, Connect Four, Farkle and Yahtzee.

Materials
  • 1 ×Brown wool
  • 4 ×Any planks
  • 2 ×Stick

Leave a clear 3×3 area for the large table. Use it for games that spread cards or tiles around the playing surface, for Carrom, and for the larger Go boards. Each game guide names its required table.

  • 1 ×Iron ingot
  • 8 ×Any planks

Put a chair facing a side of the table. Compact tables link to chairs one block from their centre; large tables link at the middle of each side, two blocks from their centre.

For two players, put the chairs opposite one another. Add a chair at each remaining side for a four-seat game. Right-click a chair to sit down and open the board. A chair whose seat is taken opens a spectator view instead of giving you the other player’s hand.

Use a matching board item on the table to fit it. The table owner and server operators control fitting and removal. Crouch-use a fitted table with an empty main hand to remove its board. The board is returned and any item stakes are refunded.

The table’s facing determines Player One’s side. Player Two is opposite; Players Three and Four use the remaining sides. The visual chairs on large tables sit slightly inward from their logical blocks, so keep the chair blocks aligned with the side centres.

The large placement grid is 3×3, while the visible tabletop is approximately 2.5×2.5 blocks. The empty outer inset makes room for the chairs.
