How to play
Section titled “How to play”Open the fitted board to make your moves. How to play in the side tray gives you the same lessons with illustrations inside the game.
Ludo goal
Section titled “Ludo goal”
Get every token home before the other players.

One player wins by bringing all four tokens to the centre.
Leave the yard
Section titled “Leave the yard”
Roll a six to put a token on your coloured starting square.

Entering uses the six. A token already on the track moves six spaces instead.
Count the roll
Section titled “Count the roll”
Move one token exactly the number shown on the die.

Count each square once. A token may not stop beyond the final home square.
Six rolls again
Section titled “Six rolls again”
A six gives the same player another roll.

Use the extra roll to bring out a token or improve a token already on the track.
Make a blockade
Section titled “Make a blockade”
Two friendly tokens on one square stop opponents passing through.

The pair is a blockade. An opposing token cannot pass or land on that square.
Capture a lone token
Section titled “Capture a lone token”
Landing on one enemy token sends it back to its yard.

A lone enemy is captured when you land on its square. A blockade cannot be captured.
Finish exactly
Section titled “Finish exactly”
Every token must reach the final home square with an exact count.

A roll that goes past home cannot finish that token. Choose another legal move when possible.
Rules in more detail
Section titled “Rules in more detail”Blockades and exact finishes
Section titled “Blockades and exact finishes”Two or more opposing tokens form a blockade that you cannot land on or pass through. Landing on a single opposing token sends it to its yard. Home requires the exact remaining distance: an oversized roll cannot finish that token. A six gives another turn, including when none of your tokens has a legal move.
Keep playing
Section titled “Keep playing”Use Rematch after the result to play again. To pause an unfinished match, the table owner can remove and keep its board.
